Most
Filipinos have already had a Cherry Mobile phone. And almost all of us highly
doubt this brand’s reliability in temrs of build quality, customer support,
battery life, etctetera. Admittedly, I too would never consider buying a Cherry
Phone if I have alternative options. But today, I break my word. The moment
Cherry Mobile Flare was released, I went gaga for it. Why? You get a powerful
phone at a very reasonable price. On the second hand market, it will be very
hard to find a heavygat phone at a measly P4000 but this baby breaks down
barriers with its amazing feature. The main feature which hooked me? Dual-Sim.
Specification
Two-Cents
RAM and Clockspeed
Many of you might wonder,
what is RAM and the clockspeed for? Should I go for higher RAM, less clock or
vice versa? The answer depends on how you use the phone. Random Acess Memory (RAM)
is used to determine how many apps your unit can run simultaneously. So bigger
RAM means you can multi-task much more applications without worrying about
lagging on the system.
Clockspeed
is used to determine how fast your system will run a certain application. Simply
put, higher clockspeed means faster phone. THIS IS THE GENERAL IDEA ON RAM AND
CLOCKSPEED. Factors on speed is determined by the chipset architecture.
For the
Cherry Mobile Flare, I would comment that the given clock and RAM are very
generous, these specs could be found on higher end phones fitted onto a cheap
phone.
Camera
Being a Camera Guy, I’m not
a PHOTOGRAPHER, I JUST LIKE TO TAKE PHOTOS, this is an important factor for me.
If based on experience, I would predict a shitty camera, but it would be unfair
for me to say that as I am yet to own one. The front-cam of the Flare is a big
yes yes especially for Video Callers and Skypers.
Android ICS out of
the box
This is
a huge WOW for the Flare, as early as now I would predict minimal to none
customization selections for such phone. A classmate once said ‘Hindi ka naka android kung hindi ka
nakacustom rom’(You wouldn’t be using ‘Android’ if you don’t use custom
rom) so the Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box is very thoughtful, you get a
stable OS with almost more than half a million apps available. I assure you
that most people will find custom roms if this was released with a Gingerbread
and this would garner huge amount of know-it-all critics if it came out with
the aforementioned system. The pre installed Nova Launcher is also a very good
addition as most custom roms use Nova Launcher as their default launcher.
SIM Duality
The
feature which took me Dual-Sim. Being a cellphone geek, I fancy having a phone
with dual-sim prowess, unfortunately, I have not come across anything that
featured an Android with a Dual-sim power, until this came up. Having two Sims
in one phone is very useful especially for lovers who have sun as their
secondary sim. A purchase would be inevitable as the cheap price tag is a major
benefactor and the thought of watching series or movies on the go without
worrying about those bastard uneducated faggy snatchers stealing them, this can
be the best nakaw-phone out there. This is a great bang for your buck.
Conclusion
Android + Good Internal + Fast Processor + Dual Cam + DUAL-SIM
A purchase would be inevitable as
the cheap price tag is a major benefactor and the thought of watching series or
movies on the go without worrying about those bastard uneducated faggy
snatchers stealing them, this can arguably be the best nakaw-phone out there.
This is a great bang for your buck. A Primary or a secondary phone, barring the
reputation of the brand along with the questionable battery life of both Cherry
and Android, I firmly believe this phone is a steal.
CHERRY MOBILE FLARE WILL BE RELEASED THIS WEEK OR THE NEXT, I'LL KEEP YOU UPDATED ;)
